Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Libya. As a key member of our Mine Action Section, you will be responsible for developing and implementing capacity-building projects to support Libyan security and defense institutions. Your expertise in mine action, explosive ordnance disposal, and conflict resolution will play a critical role in achieving our goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement capacity-building projects in mine action and explosives management.
  • Monitor and analyze program development and implementation.
  • Liaise with relevant parties, including UNSMIL and government officials.
  • Evaluate project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on project progress and results.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a mine action field program, preferably in explosive ordnance disposal, demining, or IED threat mitigation.
  • Experience working in conflict or post-conflict settings, ideally with the United Nations or a similar international organization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
