Chief WASH Programme Manager

UNICEF is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief WASH Programme Manager to lead our Water, Sanitation and Hygiene programme in [Country].

The Chief WASH Programme Manager will be responsible for managing and supervising all stages of the WASH programme, from strategic planning and formulation to delivery of the WASH outcome and output results. The successful candidate will lead and manage the country office WASH team, ensuring that the WASH outcome and output results are achieved according to plans, allocations, results-based management approaches, and integration of climate and resilience building and other cross-cutting issues into UNICEF WASH programme implementation.

• Humanitarian WASH preparedness and response
• Innovation, knowledge management, and capacity building

Requirements:

• Advanced university degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Behavior Change Communication, Sanitary Engineering, or a relevant technical field
• Minimum 8 years of professional work experience in WASH-related programmes
• Specific expertise in programme/project formulation, implementation, monitoring, and review, and evaluation related to climate change adaptation and/or water scarcity programming in developing countries
• One year of deployment in a developing country and at least one year of work experience in humanitarian contexts
• Proven ability to effectively lead a team to deliver results

Language Requirements: Fluency in written and spoken English required. Working knowledge of Arabic is an asset.
