Your Mission as a Business Lecturer

As a Business Lecturer at SMU, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and contemporary instruction across core areas of business studies, management, and entrepreneurship. Your work will help students develop strong foundations and advanced competencies in business theory, applied practices, and critical thinking. Alongside your teaching, you will guide and mentor future business professionals, contribute to curriculum development and research, and keep programmes up to date with the latest trends in international business education.

You Will Be Handling These Duties and Responsibilities as a Business Lecturer

• Deliver interactive lectures, tutorials, seminars, and practical workshops for undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes in business, management, finance, marketing, or related disciplines.
• Design, review, and assess course materials and digital learning resources reflecting current business standards, trends, and technologies.
• Supervise and support students in business projects, group assignments, case studies, and independent research relevant to modern business challenges and opportunities.
• Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment, championing diversity, equity, and accessibility for all students.
• Participate in departmental meetings, business curriculum development, programme reviews, and university events relevant to the business faculty.
• Contribute to applied research, industry outreach, or knowledge exchange with local businesses, organisations, or academic partners.
• Remain up to date on global business developments, digital business tools, and innovative teaching practices.

Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as a Business Lecturer

• A Master's degree or higher in Business Administration, Management, Marketing or a closely related field. Progress towards a relevant doctorate or significant professional business experience is advantageous.
• Robust expertise in core business topics such as organisational behaviour, strategy, economics, accounting, entrepreneurship, or digital business.
• Experience teaching, training, or coaching in formal or informal settings, with university-level/institution-level teaching experience considered an asset.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, enabling you to inspire, instruct, and engage students from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong commitment to educational excellence, student wellbeing, and ongoing professional growth within the business sector.
• Ability to contribute to research or projects related to business, innovation, or entrepreneurship.
• Collaborative approach and proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary academic and business-focused team.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is valued.

Additional Information

• Working Days & Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 9am - 5pm.
• Location: Tripoli.
