Your Mission as a Database Design & Development lecturer:

The Database Design & Development lecturer will teach students how to design, develop, and manage database systems using SQL and NoSQL technologies. This role involves hands-on training, developing BTEC-compliant assignments, and preparing students for real-world data management challenges.

You will be handling these duties and responsibilities as a Database Design & Development lecturer:
  • - Teach Database Design & Development, including relational databases, NoSQL, ER modeling, and normalization.
  • - Guide students in database implementation using SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Firebase).
  • - Design and evaluate BTEC-compliant assignment briefs covering data structuring, security, and optimization.
  • - Provide hands-on training in database administration, query optimization, and cloud storage solutions.
  • - Introduce students to data security, encryption, GDPR compliance, and risk management.
  • - Assist students in using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Excel for database reporting and visualization.
Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as a Database Design & Development lecturer:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Expertise in SQL, NoSQL, data management, and business applications.
  • Strong knowledge of database security, data privacy laws, and industry best practices.
  • Teaching or training experience with a vocational and hands-on approach.
  • Familiarity with BTEC curriculum design and assessment is preferred.
Additional Information:
  • Work Location: Onsite – Ghut Asha'al.
  • Working Hours: Once a week, 4 PM – 7 PM
