At Eni, we are looking for Drilling & Completion Coordinator within Eni North Africa B.V. in Tripoli, Libya. You will be responsible for coordinating the technical integrity of workover and completion design for field activities, ensuring full compliance with project well performance requirements.
Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).
About Mellitah Oil & Gas B.V. Libyan Branch
Mellitah Oil & Gas B.V. Libyan Branch was established in 2008. We are the largest oil company in Libya, producing 600,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (including crude oil, natural gas, condensed gas: propane, butane, and naphtha), along with a daily production of 450 tons of sulphur. We manage several onshore fields spread across the country, as well as offshore fields including three platforms and a floating tank. We also oversee a network of onshore pipelines that extend thousands of kilometres. We export natural gas through an offshore pipeline connecting Mellitah Industrial Complex to the southern coast of Italy, managed by Green Stream. This offshore export line is considered the first link between Libya and Europe. Mellitah Oil & Gas also plays a significant role in meeting local demand for natural gas.
Main responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with project well performance objectives.
- Prepare engineering programmes covering all activities (drilling, completion/workover, well testing, and wireline/rigless operations).
- Support the manager in preparing the well operations budget.
- Liaise with the Exploration, Reservoir, Petroleum Engineering, and Production departments to define appropriate well design, operational sequences, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Carry out evaluations, studies, and reports on all aspects of well operations, providing recommendations on any new techniques required.
- Prepare accurate cost breakdown estimates for wells to be drilled and/or worked over.
- Ensure that contractors' activities meet contractual terms, remain within budget, and are conducted in accordance with good engineering practice.
- Coordinate the activities of drilling engineers, completion engineers, and drilling/completion fluid engineers in the preparation of relevant engineering programmes.
- Closely follow up on well operations and provide recommendations when engineering problems occur.
- Ensure the application and integration of new technologies.
- Act in compliance with the Code of Ethics, SOA, and Model 231.
- Comply with the country's Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and with the HSE Policies of Eni North Africa by applying the requirements of the HSE Management System Guideline and the HSE Integrated Management System. Report, and encourage the reporting of, any unsafe condition, unsafe act, or near miss related to HSE. Ensure that colleagues and subordinates adopt appropriate HSE behaviours.
Skills and experience required:
- Engineering degree.
- Extensive experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Relevant well engineering experience.
- Drilling operations experience (Horizontal Drilling, Drilling Fluids & Cement).
- Advanced drilling experience: Lean Profile, HPHT Drilling, Extended Reach Drilling, Wellbore Stability.
- Completion and workover operations experience (Well Testing, Gravel Pack, Well Stimulation).
- Advanced completion experience: Dual Completion, Intelligent Completion.
- Rigless operations experience.
- Economics: cost analysis and cost control.
- Software: good knowledge of the main well data management and reporting software available on the market.
- Digitalisation: familiarity with digitalisation processes, including Real‑Time Monitoring, rig‑site drilling packages for performance optimisation, and rig automation processes.
- Upper‑intermediate level of English.
- IWCF Level 4.
