Role & responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to handle preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines, tools, and production equipment in a vehicle armoring facility. The role involves ensuring mechanical systems operate efficiently to meet overseas project timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of mechanical equipment including CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, hydraulic presses, compressors, and conveyors.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical faults and carry out corrective actions promptly.
  • Oversee installation, alignment, and calibration of new machinery and tools.
  • Maintain lubrication schedules, bearings, belts, and moving parts to reduce wear and tear.
  • Fabricate or modify mechanical components as per production needs.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance logs and downtime reports.
  • Support production teams during vehicle armoring, fabrication, and assembly operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and preventive maintenance standards.
  • Coordinate with electrical and production departments to resolve cross-functional breakdowns.
  • Monitor availability of critical spare parts and raise requisitions when needed.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Fitter, or Maintenance trade.
  • 38 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within automotive, heavy fabrication, or defense manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Hands-on experience in CNC, lathe, and milling machine maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, assembly diagrams, and service manuals.
