Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Infection Control Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing infection control policies and procedures, monitoring and controlling the spread of infections, and educating healthcare staff on best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive infection control plans, ensuring compliance with national and international guidelines
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential infection risks and take necessary actions to prevent outbreaks
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement targeted infection control strategies for specific patient populations
• Educate and train healthcare staff on infection prevention and control protocols and procedures
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in infection control practices and implement them in our healthcare setting
• Investigate and report on any suspected or confirmed outbreaks of infectious diseases
• Liaise with external agencies and authorities to ensure compliance with infection control regulations
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to infection control activities

Qualifications and Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Microbiology, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in infection prevention and control in a healthcare setting. They should possess strong knowledge of infection control practices and guidelines, as well as experience in developing and implementing infection control policies and procedures.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who can work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software is also required.
