Adolescent Medicine Section Director

Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service is seeking candidates for a faculty position in the Department of Pediatrics at the Assistant Professor/Associate Professor rank as Section Director of Adolescent Medicine, within the Division of General Academic Pediatrics at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. Applicants must be board certified/eligible in Adolescent Medicine. The Section Director will have opportunities to recruit both clinical and research faculty, to plan significant programmatic and facilities enhancements, and to develop a program of clinical and translational research. The candidate should have a proven record of academic excellence as well as a commitment to excellence in patient care and medical education. The Section of Adolescent Medicine provides services including care for all health issues with a focus on high-risk behaviors, gynecological evaluation and treatment, and care of teens with chronic illness in a tertiary care pediatric hospital setting. The Eating Disorder Program offers care for individuals as young as 8 years old through adolescence. This program serves both inpatients and outpatients with eating disorders. SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital is a 190-bed free standing hospital located in midtown Saint Louis, adjacent to Saint Louis University. The Hospital serves a diverse population from the inner city, the metropolitan area, and a 200-mile referral radius. The medical staff includes over 100 full-time Saint Louis University School of Medicine faculty.
