Director - Cancer Center

The Director of the Saint Louis University Cancer Center (Director) is responsible for leadership and management of all aspects of the Cancer Center, including monitoring strategic and operational goals of the education, research, and clinical missions of the University and driving improvements where indicated. The Director engages, leads and energizes the Cancer Center to build new initiatives and collaborations both across and outside of the University. Reporting to the Vice Dean for Medical Affairs, the Director is expected to have a holistic understanding of school of medicine and clinical operations and strategy. The Director will work in collaboration with leadership within SLU SOM and SSM , to define center-level strategy, including clinical and research goals and identify areas of strategic importance in cancer. This will include working with finance and the clinical affairs organization to create and deliver on a financial plan that drives sustained center profitability. The Director will foster collaboration and engagement across research, teaching and clinical missions. The Director will foster new interdisciplinary initiatives designed to engage multiple disciplines throughout the University. The Director will also play a prominent role in Cancer Center advancement efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
M.D. or M.D/Ph.D. required. American board certification in a cancer related specialty. Eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri. Academic credentials which merit appointment as Professor at Saint Louis University.
