HSE Officer

Job Opportunity: HSE Officer (Oil Field Rotation Role – Libya) Location: Abuattifel Oil Fields, Libya Rotation: 3 months on -site / 1 month off Experience Required: Minimum 5 years in oil field operations Languages: Fluent in Arabic & English (spoken and written) About the Role: Dawaam is seeking an experienced and committed HSE Officer to join our client's operations at the Abuattifel oil fields. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) performance in compliance with company and client requirements. Key Responsibilities:Oversee and issue work permits, ensuring on -site supervision during all operations.Identify and rectify any HSE non -conformities in accordance with the client's HES standards.Ensure full implementation and compliance with the Quality and Safety Management System (QSMS) or similar frameworks.Monitor team activities daily; identify unsafe behaviors and implement corrective actions promptly.Lead hazard identification and risk assessments for all operational tasks.Maintain accurate and up -to -date training matrices and ensure staff certifications are valid.Promote HSE procedures, policies, and environmental controls across the site.Deliver safety induction training to all new arrivals on -site.Report all incidents and accidents within 24 hours and ensure proper documentation is submitted.Support and assist in incident/accident investigations.Conduct regular safety inspections and audits based on a pre -established matrix.Check safety equipment regularly to ensure availability and correct usage.Actively promote a "Stop Work" policy to prevent unsafe practices RequirementsProven experience working in Libyan oil fields – experience in Abuattifel preferred.Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar HSE role within the oil & gas industry.Excellent knowledge of safety systems and regulatory frameworks.Fully bilingual – able to communicate and write effectively in Arabic and English.Strong leadership, observation, and reporting skills.Committed to safety, environmental protection, and continuous improvement.
