Job Summary:The Social Media Specialist is charged with crafting and implementing content strategies across various social media platforms to boost engagement, elevate brand visibility, and meet business goals. This role is integral to both the creative and analytical aspects of social media management and requires a comprehensive understanding of social media trends, data analysis, and community engagement. Additionally, the Social Media Specialist will supervise a team of Social Media Assistants and Coordinators, ensuring cohesive team efforts and effective execution of strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Management:
- Direct and manage the activities of Social Media Assistants and Coordinators, setting clear goals and monitoring progress.
- Provide ongoing training, feedback, and support to team members to foster professional growth and development.
- Develop and execute compelling content strategies for each social media platform, ensuring alignment with the brand's goals and messaging.
- Lead brainstorming sessions with the content team to develop innovative campaign ideas and initiatives.
- Oversee the production of engaging, high-quality content, including text posts, images, and videos.
- Collaborate with creative teams, including graphic designers and videographers, to produce content that aligns with strategic goals.
- Utilize analytics tools to track performance of social media channels and campaigns, and adjust strategies based on data insights.
- Regularly report on social media performance metrics, and use this data to improve future campaign strategies.
- Lead the team in actively engaging with the community on social media platforms, ensuring timely and appropriate interactions.
- Develop strategies for audience growth and increased engagement on each platform.
- Keep up with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to inform content strategy and team training.
- Encourage the adoption of new social media techniques and technologies to maintain a cutting-edge presence.
- Collaborate with other departments within the marketing team to integrate social media efforts with wider marketing campaigns.
- Ensure that social media initiatives support the main company goals, working in line with sales and customer service teams.
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in social media management, including direct experience in content creation, strategy, and analytics.
- Demonstrated experience managing or leading a team.
- Proficiency in using social media management and analytics tools.
- Strong knowledge of social media KPIs and marketing strategy.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Graphic design and video editing skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of SEO and content marketing principles.
- Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to use both data and intuition in decision-making.
- Proven track record of running successful social media campaigns with measurable results.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manipulate multiple projects and deadlines.
- A natural leader with a talent for nurturing and guiding team members.
