Job Title: Primary Integrated Teacher

The Strait Regional Centre for Education is inviting qualified candidates to join its team as a Primary Integrated Teacher. This role involves delivering the public school program, focusing on supporting student learning, achievement, and overall success.

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment with approximately 1,050 employees, supporting around 5,981 students across 20 schools. The jurisdiction encompasses four counties in Nova Scotia, covering an area of approximately 11,000 square kilometres.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver the public school program, emphasizing student learning, achievement, and overall success
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student growth and development
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to engage students
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

Required Qualifications:

• Valid teacher certification for the Province of Nova Scotia
• Methodology courses, experience, or practicum teaching in the subject area(s) at the appropriate level
• Excellent classroom and student management skills
• Knowledge and experience in the application of technologies used to enhance instruction and learning
• Knowledge and/or experience in implementing inclusive teaching and assessment strategies
