Job Summary
Under the direction of the Nurse Team Leader or Nurse Supervisor, the Infusion Nurse oversees and directs the care of patients with hematologic malignancies and oncologic diagnoses provided by assisting personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients in the outpatient infusion center. The Infusion Nurse evaluates patients in need of intravenous treatment or medication and plans, implements, and documents nursing care; determines appropriate venipuncture site and administers intravenous therapeutic treatments; and provides information to patients and families regarding intravenous treatment

Minimum Qualifications
Required: Graduate of an approved RN program; supplemented with two (2) years of related clinical nursing experience in oncology and acute care; Missouri RN licensure, Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card, and Basic Life Support ( BLS ) certificate. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing; OCN certification or ability to obtain it within 24 months of date of hire, incentivized (5% pay increase) and paid for by the hiring department.
