Chief Accountant

On behalf of our client, a leading group of companies in Libya, specializes in Fashion Retail, F&B, Healthcare, Automobiles, Construction, Electromechanical, and Alternative Energy. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented (Chief Accountant) to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and provide strategic insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations and financial reporting.
  
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial policies.
  
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
  
• Implement and improve internal controls and financial procedures.
  
• Lead and mentor the accounting team to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  
• Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
  
• Proven experience of 5 years minimum in a senior accounting role.
  
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
  
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  

Language Requirements:

• Arabic: Native level.
  
• English: Advanced level.
  

Additional Information:

• Working hours: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  
• Working days: Sat – Thu.
