Job Summary
As a member of the Department of Campus Recreation and Wellness, the Wellness Coordinator is responsible for providing the campus community with health information and resources, cultivating healthy attitudes and behaviors, and fostering a culture that values and supports healthy living and healthy communities among students. The Ignatian framework of cura personalis will guide this educator in student interventions - "care for the whole person." Further, the Wellness Coordinator will plan, develop, implement, and evaluate community-based health promotion and education initiatives for students with a primary focus on mental health, suicide prevention and personal wellness. Additionally, the Wellness Coordinator will oversee the operation of the Wellness Peer Education program.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in public health, health promotion, health education, collegiate recreation, wellness or closely related field supplemented with 1-3 years of work experience in college health promotion, recreation or closely related field. Master's degree in public health, health promotion, health education, or a related field is preferred. Prior experience working in a college or university setting is preferred. Participation in professional organizations, research and scholarship, and/or professional development such as association leadership or training presentations is preferred. Certified Health Education Specialist ( CHES ) or Certified in Public Health ( CPH ) is preferred.
