GL Accountant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented GL Accountant to join our team in Bani Ghazi, Yemen. The GL Accountant will be responsible for managing the company's general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, and providing support for financial reporting and analysis. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the company's general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled - Prepare and post journal entries for various accounts, including but not limited to cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets - Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations - Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes - Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports - Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes - Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies - Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures - Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data - Support internal and external audits - Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed - Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and increase efficiency Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - 2+ years of experience in general ledger accounting - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred - Experience in the manufacturing or construction industry is a plus Contract Details: This is a full-time position, with a 40-hour workweek.
