Senior Electrical Engineer

Requirements:

• Graduate in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university, member of a professional association in good standing.
• A minimum of 15 years (senior level) or 10 years (engineer level) of relevant experience.

The experience must be gained in a Consulting Engineering Office specializing in the petrochemical industry or with Operating Companies in the same field.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in detailed engineering and design, enabling others to draft data.
• Expertise in areas like Area Classification, Single Line Drawings, Layouts, Raceway Systems, Schematics, and interconnection drawings.
• Familiar with codes and standards such as NEC, ANSI, IEEE, UL, CSA, and NFPA.
• Knowledgeable in North American engineering concepts, practices, equipment, and materials.
• Experience in developing specifications for power distribution products for industrial projects.
• Ability to create purchasing requisitions and evaluate bids.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct special engineering studies on short-circuit, relay coordination, etc.
• Carry out conceptual engineering and manage responsibilities productively.
• Adhere strictly to scheduled completion dates.
• Commission electrical systems and oversee plant start-up procedures.
• Develop well-documented calculations for engineering decisions.
• Work efficiently in a multicultural environment.
