Position Title: Senior Drilling Engineer

Location: Libya

Department: Drilling Operations

Reports To: Drilling Manager

Job Summary: Plan, execute, and manage drilling operations to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective extraction of oil and gas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and prepare detailed drilling programs.
  • Oversee drilling operations, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and safety standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to drilling teams.
  • Analyze drilling performance to identify improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with service providers and contractors.
  • Prepare and present drilling progress and performance reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 7-10 years of drilling engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in drilling software and well control techniques.
  • IWCF or IADC Well Control Certification.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
